When "Quick Copy" is chosen, the duplicator examines data attributes like formats, sizes, and locations. Following this analysis, duplication begins. It's important to note that if the source data exceeds the capacity of the target, the copy process will fail.
  2. Whole Media Copy: (Accessible via Function 7.2 Copy Area – Whole Media) This mode skips the data analysis and proceeds directly to an exhaustive bit-by-bit replication of the entire source device. Although this method delivers the highest fidelity data replication, it is comparatively slower than Quick Copy.

Q2. Why is my duplication process moving slowly?

Q9. Can a 2GB device be copied to a 1GB device?

Yes, as long as the data and format of the source drive don't exceed the capacity of the target drive(s).

Q10. Can a 1GB device be copied to a 2GB device?

Yes, but be aware that the file allocation table (FAT) from the source will be cloned to the target, causing your PC to perceive the 2GB device as a 1GB device. As a result, we highly recommend using devices of equal capacities for all duplication tasks.

Q11. Is copying encrypted data possible?

Since encryption can be applied in many ways, like software or hardware encryption, if you're unsure about the encryption type, you might need to conduct some tests. Before you start, make sure the target drive's capacity is at least equal to that of the source drive. Follow these steps:

  1. STEP 1. Use the Data Area Copy on the Duplicator. Depending on the outcome, consider these scenarios:
    • S1. A green light indicates the copy is successful, and the device works as expected. (OK)
    • S2. A red light at the start of replication indicates the device is not detected. (FAIL)
    • S3. A green light appears, but the device doesn't function normally. (Proceed to STEP 2)
    • S4. A red light during copying or near completion. (Proceed to STEP 2)
  2. STEP 2. Use the Whole Media Copy on the Duplicator.
