The MS-100S is an enterprise-grade security hammer mill that physically destroys hard drives, SSDs, flash media, phones and optical media. Interchangeable discharge screens let you set the destruction particle size to match your security requirement, from high-throughput processing down to fine-particle destruction of 2 mm or less for flash media.
Overview
-
- Crushes rather than cuts: high-speed rotating hammers pulverize hard media that conventional cutting shredders struggle with
- Destroys 3.5″ and 2.5″ HDDs, SSDs, flash memory, phones, tablets, circuit boards, optical media, SIM cards and payment cards
- Interchangeable screens adjust particle size to your security level; fine screens achieve 2 mm or smaller particle output for flash media
- Throughput of up to 90 3.5″ HDDs per hour, or up to 160 consumer 2.5″ SSDs per hour, depending on screen selection
- Built by Koritsu of Japan, drawing on more than 50 years of industrial crusher manufacturing for the mining and quarrying industry
- Deployed in Japan across defence, financial institutions, data centres and secure destruction providers
- Master-key start, full door interlocks, emergency stop at the feed inlet, and automatic shutdown on overheat, overload or full dust bin
- Built-in dust collector as standard
- Casters for mobility, anti-tip adjusters for fixed installation
Destruction You Can See and Verify
The MS-100S uses a crushing system built around high-speed rotating hammers rather than the cutting blades found in conventional shredders. Media fed into the chamber is struck repeatedly until every particle is small enough to pass through the discharge screen. The result is a bin of verifiable particles, not intact drives with a certificate. For audit purposes, destruction output can be inspected, photographed and sampled at any time.
Adjustable Security Level Through Interchangeable Screens
A replaceable screen at the discharge section controls the final particle size. Media is crushed continuously until it passes through, so the screen you install determines the security level you achieve.
-
- Coarse screens prioritize throughput for routine commercial destruction
- Fine screens produce particle sizes of 2 mm or less for flash media, for organizations with high-security destruction mandates
If your media mix or security requirements change, you swap the screen rather than replace the machine. One screen of your choice is included in the base price; additional screens are available separately.
Enterprise Media Coverage
Unlike compact office crushers, the MS-100S processes 3.5″ hard drives (using the included 3.5″ HDD Processing Kit, a roughly 20-minute changeover with the supplied tools) as well as 2.5″ HDDs, SSDs, flash media, smartphones, tablets, circuit boards, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, SIM cards and payment cards.
Safety and Access Control
The machine will not start without the master key, preventing unauthorized operation. All doors lock, and opening any door while running triggers an immediate automatic stop. A large emergency stop button sits beside the feed inlet. Protection circuits shut the machine down automatically on overcurrent, sustained overload or overheating, and operation stops when the dust bin is full.
Low-Maintenance Industrial Build
The mechanism is deliberately simple. Primary wear parts are light enough to hold in one hand and are replaced on site with the included standard tools; no factory return is required. Under heavy high-volume use, hammer replacement once or twice a year is typically sufficient.
