Copying data quickly and easily is more important than ever. That’s where the NV-BM series by U-Reach comes in. It’s a special device that helps you copy M.2 SSDs very fast and in large numbers. Whether you build tech devices or work with lots of data, the NV-BM can save you time and effort.
Features
- Fast speed: Copies data at up to 24 GB per minute
- Works with many systems: Supports Windows, Linux, and Mac
- Secure data cleaning: Includes multiple erasing options
- Easy firmware updates: Supports many firmware file types
- Wide compatibility: Works with many storage types and connections
- No cables needed: Simple plug-in and removal for M.2 drives
- Log system: Tracks each copying job for easy management
Smart Copying Modes
Quick Copy (Systems and Files)
This mode only copies the part of the drive that has actual data. It skips empty space, making the job much faster. It supports:
- Windows: FAT16/32/64, NTFS
- Linux: ext2, ext3, ext4
- Mac: HFS, HFS+, HFSX
If the drive format isn’t supported, it switches to full copy mode.
Whole Media Copy
This copies everything from beginning to end, there are no format limitations in the whole media mode, providing flexibility for diverse duplication needs.
Blazing Fast Performance
One of the best things about the NV-BM series is how fast it is. It can copy up to 24 GB per minute without slowing down—even when duplicating multiple drives at once.
Firmware Upload Made Simple
You can also use the NV-BM to load firmware onto M.2 drives. It supports many file types like .sig, .enc, .bin, and more. This makes it easy to keep devices up to date with the latest software.
Works with Almost Everything
This duplicator can handle a wide range of drives and systems:
- Supports Windows, Linux, and Mac file systems
- Can copy both Master Boot Record (MBR) and GPT partitions
- Works with many brands and the largest storage sizes available
- Supports NVMe, SATA Express, U.2 (with adapter), PCIe SSD, and Mini PCIe .
Erase Data Safely
Need to wipe a drive clean? The NV-BM has several ways to erase data:
- Quick Erase: Deletes the file index quickly.
- Full Erase: Clears the entire drive.
- DoD Erase: Complies with the U.S. Department of Defense erasure standards, sensitive data is securely erased and cannot be recovered.
- Secure Erase: Follows U.S. military standards
Easy to Connect
Thanks to its cable-free design, connecting and removing M.2 drives is quick and simple. It supports both M key and B+M key setups for maximum ease.
Makes Sure Your Data is Correct
After copying, the NV-BM checks every bit of data to make sure it was copied right. This helps avoid problems, saves time, and keeps your customers happy.
Keeps a Record of Every Job
The NV-BM creates a detailed log report after each job. This includes what was done, how long it took, and any issues. It’s a great tool for tracking and improving your work.
Skips Bad Data Automatically
If the original drive has bad sectors (damaged areas), you can tell the NV-BM to skip them. This makes the copy process smoother and faster.
The NV-BM series is the ultimate solution for high-volume duplication of PCIe M.2 devices. With its exceptional speed of up to 24 GB per minute, intelligent duplication modes, and support for various firmware formats, it meets the diverse needs of manufacturers and professionals in need of efficient and reliable data duplication. The device's compatibility with different operating systems and file formats, along with its advanced data sanitization methods, open platform design, and comprehensive verification processes, make it a top choice in the market.
With the NV-BM series, you can streamline your duplication processes, enhance productivity, and ensure the integrity of your duplicated data.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between “System and Files Copy” mode and “Whole Media Copy” mode?
System and Files Copy Mode: A smart, fast method that only duplicates actual data from recognized file systems like Windows (FAT16/32/64, NTFS), Linux (ext2, ext3, ext4), and Mac (HFS, HFS+, HFSX). It skips empty space for faster performance.
Whole Media Copy Mode: Creates an exact, bit-by-bit copy of the entire source device from start to end (LBA 0 to last sector), including empty areas. It supports all file systems but is slower.
I see a "No Update File" message when trying to update the BIOS. What should I do?
- Ensure the BIOS update file is unzipped.
- Format the storage device as FAT32 with an MBR partition.
- Place the BIOS file in the root directory (not inside folders).
- Try a different USB drive.
- Disable antivirus or utility software temporarily.
- Confirm the BIOS file matches your duplicator’s model.
Why does the duplication process fail right after starting?
- Ensure the target drive is equal to or larger than the source drive.
- For NTFS, the target must be at least 1MB larger than the source.
- Test the source drive on a PC to check for errors.
Can I copy from a 500GB drive to a 250GB drive?
Yes, if the actual data and partitions on the 500GB source fit within 250GB.
Note: GPT drives contain a backup table at the end of the disk. Use system settings to skip this. It will regenerate when the drive is connected to a PC and rebooted.
What is the internal SSD used for?
The internal SSD serves as a storage hub to:
- Create images from source devices
- Duplicate multiple targets from stored images
- Use GOB software to manage and deploy images
- Enable all connected ports to become targets
Why is my copy speed lower than 24GB/min as advertised?
24GB/min is the maximum theoretical speed. Slower performance may result from:
- Slower read/write speeds of your drives
- Drive health or fragmentation
- Heat buildup causing thermal throttling
- Amount of data being copied
Can this machine copy SATA drives as well as NVMe?
Yes. The NV-BM duplicator:
- Supports NVMe and SATA protocols
- Works with M key and B+M key M.2 SSDs
- Supports 2.5" SATA drives with an optional adapter like TB1589
